  • Telemental health may not be appropriate for all clients

  • A referral to a local provider will be provided at any time telemental health services are deemed no longer an appropriate level of care

  • Telemental health services can be terminated at any time should you prefer in-person sessions

  • Telemental health services may require patience with navigating technical difficulties and unexpected delays

Effectiveness

Research has found the delivery of mental health services virtually is equally effective as traditional mental health services (e.g., in-person visits). Therefore, the use of telemental health does not compromise the benefits of traditional treatment.
